Its supposed to be: Sticks and stone may break your bones but words will never hurt us... When did that change to 'words will get you cancelled'?

When people thought they could spew all over the internet without any blowback. Saying something you know is going to be disrespectful to a large number of people and then being surprised when that group of people acknowledges your disrespect is just willful stupidity. These same people have no qualms about separating themselves from others they disagree with but are offended when they’re on the receiving end.
