It's interesting how it can creep back in, in the most innocuous way

Everything feels fine, and then you have one.

And suddenly, you're drinking every night again. (I'm not tonight, but I really want to.)

Not to excess, but still. Enough to get drunk.

And I'm barely eating anything, and I'm not really sleeping well.

Everything was okay, but I just go into these lapses.

I'm so fucking lonely.

Have you considered joining a 12 step group? In addition to providing support it can be a way to meet sober friends to hang out with. 💚

@Harmonium1923 yeah I think I will do that. My therapist recommended one to me that is all women

@caccoon I have gone to a family support group for many years. It has been very helpful to have a group of people who fully understand what you’re going through. 💚
It's all too easy to start thinking about your next drink, so I decided to have my next one after a year. By then, it was easier not to.
