I Don't 'Need to Believe'

[image/video - please log in to see this content]

But apparently many people do have this "need". Why is that? Why can't more of us just accept there are some things in life we can't know for sure, and leave it at that?
Some people find it comforting and some just believe. I don't know why you think everyone should think like you.
@Spoiledbrat Should be best answer.

This all goes back to Maslow's hierarchy of needs. When you can't self actualize you get stuck making things up and believing it.. Hence, reproducing your bogus theory to the masses.

HUMAN NATURE
we're built with curiosity
Well most people are

Are you broken/dammaged ?????
@pdockal Curiosity is clearly not the same thing as, nor is it related to, belief. Most people understand this distinction. Are you broken/damaged?

@Bellatrix2083

If you don't have curiosity you won't explore
So hence it takes curiosity to question and not just except like you suggest the rest of us should just do because you say so
Ughhhhh

For a lot of people. I guess they find it comforting the thought extraterrestrials made everything we have. I don't really care tho

If we just leave it at that then we will have less topics to talk / discuss / argue about and many can't afford that

For some, a false hope is better than nothing.

So you believe we don't need to believe?
