Maslow's Hierarchy of 'Needs'
How many of them are [i]actually[/i] 'needs'?

I have serious doubts about this, if only because right at the bottom, the level that is supposed to be the most basic and essential, the level upon which the others rest, there is 'reproduction'. Having children is a need, and a very basic one too? Gee, someone should have told me! 😂
On the next level there is 'property'! Oh dear. Was this guy sniffing glue when he came up with this "pyramid"?
The way the "pyramid" works is that the needs below need to be met first in order for the ones above to be of use, to work, to enhance one's life, but it all assumes way too much. For example, the 'need' to have children assumes that we all [b]want[/b] children because otherwise our lives are pointless and we remain miserable, but that's obviously not true, and is, quite frankly, absurd.
Private property isn't a need either, and depending upon one's personality, may not even be a desire. Some people are gratified by having a lot of "stuff", but many of us are not because we're not at all materialistic.
No, this is junk pseudoscience, but I will not be at all surprised if I receive comments to the effect that I, "Just don't understand it, LOL 😂", or that I'm once again, "Just trolling" (that seems to be a common, lame retort on this site for some reason).
