Some of these boomers get offended by everything someone says or does and project it to all generations after them
They don't just lack empathy and EQ, but also self awareness.

Anyone can be offended, regardless of their generation.

Those shows were horrific by our standards now, but they were very popular so there must have been very few finding them offensive at the time. Different times, different ideas, and we can't think for them.
However, my point was of not being hurt by something personally but taking pleasure in claiming it offends others, rightly or wrongly.
