Does an animal's life has the same value as a human life?

We are at the pinnacle of the evolutionary pyramid. But does that give us the moral right to end anotherlife? Or does the rest of life exist to supplement our survival and happiness?

Well I don’t think so. As we eat fish & animal meat, that proves we don’t value animals and their lives.

P.S — Not trying to puncture any meat lover or fish lover’s emotions

@VeganMoumita would you kill lice if your kid had them? Insects are animals

@VeganMoumita you can value life and want to be healthier. We're omnivores so we have options but eating meat doesn't mean you don't value animal lives. Taking one bite of an animal and tossing it in the garbage however would be devaluing said live.

It's difficult for me to justify killing another living being. Predators in the jungle kill preys for food. If we are going to starve to death, I believe it is reasonable to kill and eat. Can't we, however, survivewithout killing? At the very least, reduce it to the very minimum?

It is really upsetting to witness how animals are slaughtered in a slaughterhouse. They may be stunned, but we are taking life, and I am struggling to justify it.

@Turtlepower that’s why I said that I am not hurting any meat lovers’ sentiments. It’s about people’s choice. But I personally don’t feel that this entire planet will go plant-based ever.
