Does an animal's life has the same value as a human life?

We are at the pinnacle of the evolutionary pyramid. But does that give us the moral right to end anotherlife? Or does the rest of life exist to supplement our survival and happiness?

No.
Why ? Because there are a billion times more Mosquitoes than humans on Earth. And Mosquitoes ADD nothing to either the food chain or benefit to other animals.
BUT carry diseases like Malaria or Dengue fever or Zika virus that kill all manner of life forms.

@Picklebobble2 That's a practical way of thinking. But is that reason mainly driven by human centred perspective? Why must all life forms be assessed by how much value they bring to our lives? Nature must have a rationale for their existence, right?

@Picklebobble2 but I wonder, how do humans benefit earth or the ecosystem?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@SW-User Oh they don't ! Humans are the equivalent of a virus. Because 99% don't take what they need they exploit all natural resources for profit.
And then dump the waste ensuring the ecosystems can't deal with it efficiently

@Picklebobble2 Mosquitos are pollinators and important food sources for certain animals. They wouldn't survive without the mosquitoes.

@SW-User We can plant stuff and save animals if we want to.
