Does an animal's life has the same value as a human life?

We are at the pinnacle of the evolutionary pyramid. But does that give us the moral right to end anotherlife? Or does the rest of life exist to supplement our survival and happiness?

I try to not harm anything. Even bugs. I eat ethically sourced meat/foods because I care. I absolutely think there is value to every life.

@SW-User IThat is something I believe as well. Animals, it is said, are terrified close tobeing killed.I guess the suffering remains the same. They may not be able to say anything, but you can tell by the look on their face. Although stunning may be beneficial, does it justify the killing? I'm not sure.
