There is one thing that makes me doubt my overall sanity

70% sense of smell loss. Anyone else suffering from that? I have heard that it's a symptom of a personality disorder.
But nothing adds up for anyone to say certainly that I have or haven't one. So it's an unexplainable wonder for me.

@Jorgillo Oh ok. If you've ruled out Covid, another possibility could be either allergies or a blockage in the sinuses, such as cysts or tumors.

I had never heard before that loss of sense of smell was associated with a personality disorder before...but I have to admit I've never met anyone with this issue.

COVID? Have your physician test your zinc level, they need to collect blood in a special tube!

@Jorgillo if the loss preceded COVID, then you do need to check for neurological problems, but I have treated a couple of men who had low zinc, because of other treatment I gave them, and lost smell until I replaced the zinc.

@samueltyler2 interesting i have depression and generalized anxiety disorder (meds for that). And Hypothyroidism (meds for that too). Now that I think about it. I am surprised I didn't transform into a pill yet. Never though of mentioning that to my doctor. Until I realized it as an issue lately. I'll talk to him and see.

I lost my smell in 99' getting mugged by 2 black guys in Seattle Capital distict area or whatever it's called. But I thankfully can still taste that would suck

I suffer from a personality disorder and my smell senses are like a super power. However many who's had covid lost their smell

I have an opposite problem and I would say that such problems with smell seem more like a neurological thing.
