Why do people iron??

I have no idea why anyone would iron clothes regularly. I iron the occasional item but in general, no way! Such a waste of time. Hang it on a hanger to dry and it won’t be creased.

My mother almost had a heart attack today when I told her I haven’t got my iron out in about 6 months.

As I told her, she has time to waste! I do not 🤓

It is something old- fashioned. My mom itoned for hours ever few evenings when I was a child. All of the clothing. Modtly dress shirts for my dad. Our clothing. 7 of us. And some of her dressier clothes. I used to iron in my twenties. Then my ex-spouse would iron his clothes. He liked to dress up. Fancy. He was gay not bi. He would iron one of my pleated skirts. He bought a new steamer before I divorced him a bit over a decade ago. Course he had OCD when it came to certain habits.
