This is normal for depression. Being around people drains your energy, and being around others will make you feel tired of them and that feeling will make you upset.

@Xalvadora how can I identify if I have depression? What else would I be experiencing?
Xalvadora · 18-21, F
@Fifidog Not doing your hygiene (like taking showers/baths, brushing your teeth, etc), you have the need to isolate yourself from others, frequent (or constant) thoughts of suicide, having a repeated boring schedule (staying shut up in your room/home all day and night, never really want to leave the house, walk away from crowds or just a single person. Playing video games, eat, sleep and repeat), irregular sleeping patterns, changes in appetite, personality and emotions.
How depression feels... it feels like there's lots of weight on you and that you have a sort-of negative or unwanted vibe around you (that you're mostly aware of).

Though, you probably just have anxiety. Mental illnesses will never go away. You just have to figure out how to cope with them.

My guess is you're introvert and so alone time in the car listening to music feeling completely in the zone and free is why you love it so much - together with billions of other people.

Also you probably need deep connections with people cause the casual meetings isn't doing it for you. They just make you feel alone.

Try going hiking in a pretty place?
Getting out is a good thing . It means you still have motivation .
My guess is your life is in some type of transition?
Something has left a hole, or a gap and you feel some sort of loss or emptiness and haven't found a way to heal it or fill it in.

Which is natural .

It's come. It takes time to cope with change .
