What did you do as a child that would be considered dangerous today?

Hitchhiking. Wasn’t even very safe back then, especially being female.

Rode my bike without a helmet. Often went on road trips in the back of a suburban, laying down, OMG without a seatbelt. Answered the door when the doorbell rang. Rode my bike miles away from the house, including on main, busy roads without any bike paths.

Drinkin soda pop

Took row boats out with outboard motor, tramped through forests on my own or with friends. Rodr bike after dark wiyh bears around.

Helped amphibian planes stop at the wharf.

No helmet

Don't remember other fun things bc they weren't an issue.

Swimming w/o adult near pool.
