What would be the one thing that will complete you life?

If you had money, steady relationship, Loving partner, family ...etc. would that be enough? Would you be happy? Or would you want something more?

What would be the one thing that will complete you life?
NewBeginnings7790 · 41-45, F
To be truly loved, valued, and accepted by the one I love.
@NewBeginnings7790 Your words echo my thoughts and feelings perfectly. I promise you many feel this way.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@NewBeginnings7790 How often will that happens? When it does, it’s amazing, right?
NewBeginnings7790 · 41-45, F
@Renkon I’ve never felt it.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
The beauty if life is that you are never done with your wishes. Each and every phase of life keeps desiring more and more. It’s not about being ungrateful it’s just about how human nature keeps evolving with the passage of time.

And I reckon it’s healthy; nothing wrong in it.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@Fertilization There is some inherent urge or desire or something within every living form. Isn't this drive that gives purpose to live? I agree there must be some wish or desire to drive us forward.

But what will complete it? I mean when can we say, this is it, this is fulfilment? .... or is there is nothing as such?
You thoughts makes sense by the way.

I don't believe life is supposed to be completed. It's about the journey, not destination.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@CrazyMusicLover But what would make this journey meaning?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Renkon There's no universal meaning. It can only be enjoyable or not enjoyable. It seems like people think it's meaningless if it's not enjoyable.

Financial stability, health, friendship, and comfort. I already have love and family.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Why do you say you have Love but no friendship? Health is crucial to happiness.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@Renkon because I have a bf but have no friends.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@DearAmbellina2113 If you had to choose one - A loving BF or A awesome friend, who would it be?
ServantOfTheGoddess · 61-69, M
Being able to do more for the world. My own life is great.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@ServantOfTheGoddess I can relate to that. I wish we could do more before we go.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M

Renkon · 36-40, M
@Snuffy1957 Yes, a loving partner makes life a lot lot easier. Don't you have one? If I may ask.

Achieving a state of contentment
Renkon · 36-40, M
@morrgin Contentment is pure form of desire. Spiritual contentment was the goal of many enlighten beings. If one can achieve contentment it will be something magical.

May I ask, what you wish by contentment?
morrgin · F
@Renkon to no longer rely or depend on materials and forces outside of myself to be happy. They only provide a fake or temporary feeling of peace.
Renkon · 36-40, M
@morrgin True....more than we are aware. Happiness happens within you. If you can create that blissfulness without any outside support, then you are where you need to be.
Casheyane · F
I think it is part of being human that we always reach a point when we aren't satisfied.

It takes a lot to be content with what you have, to be fulfilled, that you do not feel sad if you cannot have more.

But if I may ask, what do you feel would be the one thing that would complete your life at this stage?
Renkon · 36-40, M
@Casheyane I want to experience life to the fullest. I can't just believe something as true. I need to experience it.

What I've learned in my life is that we are not confined to who we are. If we are willing to pursue and strive for it, we have enormous potential.

What is the true meaning of life? What about those around me? How far can I intervene and influence it to my liking? These are things I'm looking at.

I'm on the right track now. But if I can have the will and perseverance to keep going, I will consider my life to be complete.

There are some profession goals too. But that's secondary.
One's own sanity to Live in this wide world has to be there with sufficient zest.
Only then, the mentioned external variables are of use, if any.
