It doesn't matter to me personally, but if I had to choose, I'd choose cremation, and only to save my family the cost and burden of a very expensive funeral. I think my son could use that money for college.
When I used to be religious, and have Christian beliefs, I always believed burial was the only option, but now that is no longer a factor in my decision making.

@calicuz I shouldn't say this but my dad complained about how his son's wife was given a full Catholic funeral and it was in the tens of thousands, which he couldn't afford, but it was what she would have wanted...

Unfortunately, the funeral industry takes advantage of those in the Christian faith. There's nothing in the Bible about funeral proceedings, so somewhere along the way, Christians have been convinced that funerals have to cost that much.

@calicuz thanks for saying that. Maybe my dad was right. In my home town right now a funeral director is being charged for misappropriated expenses, and fraud. They appear so sympathetic at the door for the grieving, but behind the scenes, they are adding up the money..
