We have enough food and resources to give everyone on earth a better life but people starve.
There are slaves in the mines in Africa.
There are slaves in the sweatshops.
There is crime and death everywhere because people are poor and desperate.
We can end most wars, we can end poverty. We can stop killing each other over what flag we claim or what patch of dirt we were born on.
We can stop killing each other over boundaries drawn on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
But all anyone in the US cares about are my pronouns or whether or not i should wear a skirt in public.
I’ll still stand up for myself and all. But it’s disgusting. And that is on “both sides”.
The people who want me back in the closet and away from society [i]and[/i] the people that support me but don’t care about any of the rest of the stuff that actually matters.
The US is a lost cause. Kill all statues and burn all courthouses. Raze the whole show to the ground.
They intentionally choose to target and be apathetic. There is absolutely zero excuses for it. They are more invested in protecting the image of being right than doing the right thing. This is applies to the overwhelming majority.
The corruption of those who rule us is a reflection of our own corruption as a collective.
