About 27 years ago. Something To Talk About. Decided it wasn’t worth my $ to go see such movies any longer.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@cherokeepatti Last movie I want to see was 2 weeks ago: The Banshees of Inisherin.
I meet up with a family member and we go to the movies. She really wanted to see this one and shouted because it was her turn.. It was at a different cinema to were we usually meet up and the tickets were way too much. But she insisted. And sadly, the movie is now for free on the Disney channel. 😓 What a waste of money.

It was in 2008. A friend was visiting and wanted to go to a movie, so we went to see "Get Smart".

@DrWatson Was that any good ?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard It was good, but it was not the kind of movie that really needs a large screen to be appreciated.
I do think it was written in a very clever way. On the one hand, it was not a rehash of the TV show. On the other hand, it touched base with the TV show just enough to satisfy the "nostalgia" motivation for going to see it.
One thing I wondered about as I walked in was, "What are they going to do about the famous shoe phone in this day and age?" In the movie, everyone is using cell phones. The shoe phone is in the Control Museum. But....it ends up playing a crucial role!
And Alan Arkin (as the Chief) was hysterical, as Max is constantly on the verge of giving him a complete nervous breakdown!

Last march or April, I took my son and a couple of his cousins to see "Bad Guys."

OMG, it's been years.
I think the last move I saw in the cinema was one of the Star Wars episodes with Liam Neeson and Hayden Christensen.

It was last month or so. Avatar 2.

The first Lord of the Rings movie, I think it was 2001. Too expensive, too loud, way too much CGI, and too stupid.

I'm not sure which movie was the last or when that was exactly, but it was definitely pre-pandemic, so 2019, maybe 2018. It might even have been the Hunger Games marathon in 2015.
Adrift · 61-69, F
The last time I went it was sometime before COVID.
Some woman had her dog there snuck in her purse.
He started barking during the movie, they finally kicked her out.
