Thankyou · 18-21, F
Sometimes when i feel like everything is against me and thinking what is the purpose of my life here on earth when I die nothing will actually change everything.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
No. You should probably talk to someone if you wish it was over.
Convivial · 26-30, F
Nope...too many things still to do and enjoy
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
No, that's a strange wish to have long-term, tbh.
MayaHope · 41-45, F
Thanks for all the responses. From the hopeful, the life lovers, to those who are just holding on.
Just as a comment of reassurance/clarification. Though I do suffer with the thoughts and feelings of wanting this life to be over, they are just visitors who I learn to tolerate. And whilst not many of my days bring much light. I would not end my life prematurely, as I am a mother, daughter, sister, perhaps even friend.
And though I feel mostly invisible.
I could never cause such devastation to others by ending my life.
I do not want to be the cause of pain to others, when I know how hard that pain is.
So I’m safe. And I will keep on.
It is just hard and lonely and lost.
Keep up your good fights, or living your best lives, one and all x

Not everyone… but I think anyone who truly can step back and look at it all (and MOST of all THEMSELVES) will feel this way at one point or another
Aidan · 26-30, F
I don’t truly wish it but life is an intense burden alone without all the extra struggles.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
I think there's a difference between being stressed and actually wishing your life to be end.
For instance, I have negative thoughts that consume me when I'm feeling down, but I catch myself and think "No, I don't want to die. No, I don't hate myself." Negative thoughts can be powerful, so I try to correct myself. Anyway, even when those thoughts run through my mind, I don't think it's the same as truly wanting to end things. If you're serious about wanting things to be over, you should speak to an actual professional. I'm definitely not judging by the way.

@Belladonna If you are immortal and didn't age, but then also couldn't handle the financial stability by the time you were... 80 or 100, maybe that whole immortality thing wasn't the right choice...
Belladonna · 41-45, F
@RosaMarie I'd like to think I'd be a financial genius at that age, lol.
RosaMarie · 46-50, F
@Belladonna exactly.

Not at all.
Only the ones who feel life has become too painful to bear.
In general, it's not a helpful way to think; it has the effect of making the pain worse.

Nope, it may be upside down, turned around, cooked over easy, drunken in spades, or a puritan looking for the clean energies act; but I want to live it. It's all you have, why hold back now?
littlepuppywantanewlife · 31-35, M
No I wish I could repeat my life from teens or early 20's.
Spoiledbrat · F
Sometimes I wish I could too because now I know what is up. @littlepuppywantanewlife

No. If you do then you probably need to see a counsellor/doctor.
