In the Bible, it says don't eat/drink blood cause there is life in it.
@Matt85 What verse?
@Matt85 I think it's some place in Hebrews but here is one of two verses.
‘You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor practice divination or soothsaying. Only you shall not eat the blood; you are to pour it out on the ground like water. Then...

The Bible’s first prohibition against consuming blood comes in Genesis 9:2-4, where God tells Noah, Genesis 9:2-4 "And the fear of you and the dread of you, shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered."

@LadyGrace Levitius chapter 17 verse 13 and 14: "13Anyone hunting,* whether of the Israelites or of the aliens residing among them, who catches an animal or a bird that may be eaten, shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth, 14since the life of all flesh is its blood. I have told the Israelites: You shall not consume the blood of any flesh."

13Anyone hunting,* whether of the Israelites or of the aliens residing among them, who catches an animal or a bird that may be eaten, shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth, 14since the life of all flesh is its blood. I have told the Israelites: You shall not consume the blood of any flesh."

Thanks. Personally, I stick solely with KJV. I find it makes a huge difference in meaning. Some verses, even more so, than even the differences in both our verses. It can change the whole meaning and that is serious, and in some verses, more than other's.

KJV:

13And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

14For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

Your version says "aliens residing among them." King James version says nothing of aliens residing among them.

KJV says...."or of the strangers that sojourn among you."

That may not seem like a big deal to some, but it really is. It changes the whole meaning, even though it seems small, and that is very offensive to God. He said not to add or take away from His Word (Revelation) and if anyone does, he shall be accursed. That's how much she hates that. People could misinterpret that to mean there were real aliens walking among them. It's not up for anyone's interpretation, but the Holy Spirit. I believe if God had wanted that verse to read "aliens", he would have put it there. The word alien actually comes from the wordelyon, Pronounced 'El-yon', which is one of MANY hebrew words for god, not alien.

The Bible is of no Private Interpretation. “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God, spake as they were MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.” (2 Peter 1:20-21)

It is in Genesis 9:4 with the covenant of Noah which is a pre Torah covenant @LadyGrace
@Mathers After Christ died on the cross, he brought the New Covenant in and the old was done away with, per Hebrews. We must not add to the Bible what is not there.
Mathers · 61-69
Yes but Gen 9:4 is not part of the Torah. It is a creation principle. @LadyGrace
@Mathers I wasn't referring to the Torah.

It is a heathen practice to drink blood. Not talking about blood transfusions of course which save life. @LadyGrace
@Mathers So you're saying we're not supposed to drink blood, right? I agree.

I don’t@LadyGrace
