I'd like to have a serious answer on this, please. I think it would be most interesting to know your most valuable piece of information in life.

What would that be, that you could pass on to others, perhaps? What has been the most valuable thing you know, in your life?

A hard lesson I had to learn. You cannot assume people are capable of experiencing the same thoughts, reasoning, and change that you are just because you are.

Another difficult lesson I had to learn was to stop trying to see the good in others and see people for who they are. Sometimes we give certain people too many chances because we pity them or their upbringing or their addiction. When in reality some people are just inherently evil and some of us fail to grasp that concept because we are not capable of that same evil and reasoning. Some people don't commit certain acts because they had a difficult upbringing, or drink too much or do drugs. SOME PEOPLE ARE EVIL

@LadyGrace Why thank you! I always enjoy your posts. 🙂❤️ I think we all will be working on ourselves until we pass away. I like to view our challenges as learning opportunities and metals of strength and courage. Sometimes we are able to help others through the experiences of our challenges. If my challenge caused me to help 10 people it was a blessing for all of us ❤️

@DeluxedEdition I feel exactly the same. I try to use my experiences to help others every chance I get. And yes, if it helps even one person, what a great blessing that is. You are a blessing to me. Thank you so much and I'm sure many others will use your example to succeed in life. You are truly a blessing to God and that means everything. Thank you for this great contribution. And thank you for saying you enjoy my posts. I sure appreciate that.

A poem?

As the mist leaves no scar
On the dark green hill,
So my body leaves no scar
On you, nor ever will.

When wind and hawk encounter,
What remains to keep?
So you and I encounter,
Then turn, then fall to sleep.

As many nights endure
Without a moon or star,
So will we endure,
When one is gone and far.

@LadyGrace It's from Leonard Cohen. The above who talks about how original rhyming scar with scar... needs to read up. The next verse was also focused on endure, in repetition, I wonder why?

That's interesting. Perhaps he placed emphasis again, to give us something to be sure and think about, to let it soak in. Usually that's why people repeat things. To make sure we get the point. That's my two cents anyway hahaha. Perhaps to impress upon us the importance of endurance and perseverance. I believe he is encouraging the reader to carry on and never give up, no matter what the circumstances or who is watching.

@LadyGrace I read it like a treatise to himself learning to let love in meeting someone.

That there are no "show stoppers" unless you quit trying. "This too shall pass." Breaking up with Sally or Bill is not the end of the world, getting fired from that job is not the end of the world. As long as you work and improve, life will improve. Reach out if you need a friend. There is always someone who will listen, but a s Deluxe said, some people are evil, a friend will listen to help, choose friends carefully, some will listen to spread the tale or to just absorb the drama. And if I could talk to myself at 18 years old, my advice would be to save, even if it is only a few dollars a pay, put some away so when it comes time to buy that ring, or house or car, it doesn't hurt so much. My second bit of advice for myself would be to not take myself so seriously.

@Roadsterrider

Same for me. You just can't beat experience. It is the best teacher we have learned some hard lessons but I'm grateful for them because I learned a lot and that helps me to help others sometimes. And that's worth it all. As you mentioned, we wouldn't be where we are today, if it wasn't for the rough times. All the money in the world can't make up for that. I think a wise person doesn't mind correction but profits from it because he knows it is what is best for him or her. We would never learn and grow or become mature if everything went smoothly. There are a plethora of lessons to learn so we can not repeat them again, but better our lives.

@LadyGrace I forget where it came from, but I read that "Good judgement comes from experience, most experience comes from poor judgement."

@Roadsterrider

Very true and wise words. Your first post was beautiful. This one, as well. Very wise conclusions.

Be a student of life throughout your life. Learning is not in the science of living but to its contrary, in the art of living.

That helping other people is called socialism and will ruin the world. Capitalism and being as greedy and selfish as possible is holy and just and the right way to live. Let the top 1% line their own pockets as much as they like and kick the scraps down to us to fight over while struggle to make ends meet. Anything else is socialism. If you can't contribute to the capitalist economy, you are vermin and should be exterminated.
LadyGrace · 70-79
@SW-User I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It is hard for me to relate to that because I have never experienced that. I understand what you're saying, and I believe your experience. Some people can be cold and calculated, as you have said, people only thinking of themselves, for sure. However I believe there's a flipside to that coin. I just have not experienced that in my own life. That is a very cold and hard way to live.

In my experience, happiness does not find me. It is created by me. I choose my environment, the people I wish to hang around with, and find helping people, to be a real blessing. I find that makes me happier than doing things for my own self or just thinking only of myself, as I believe in helping and loving others and I have found that offering is reciprocated. I am so sorry that life is hard for you. I would love to see you much happier and cared about. 💖

@LadyGrace My life? I wasn't talking about myself. How selfish would that rant hsve been if I was! It seems you missed the point quite dramatically. I have eyes and ears. I was talking about everyone else, the world we live in.
LadyGrace · 70-79
@SW-User Oh, I am so sorry. I definitely did misunderstand you but I don't think it would have been selfish to share what your life was like, if it had been true. However, now I see your point. Thank you for explaining that to me. Yes this world in general is quite cold and selfish, you are right. Only out for itself, for sure and we are dispensable.

Make money work for you, rather than working for money
LadyGrace · 70-79
@pianoplayingsteve You obviously have a talent for that. Who taught you that? Do you share that information? Have you written a book?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@LadyGrace you can dm me if you like and we can discuss :)
LadyGrace · 70-79
@pianoplayingsteve I will do that when I get time. Thank you.
