Do you feel some type of way when people don't respond with words to your reply on a post of theirs?

I typically heart posts as an acknowledgement of them, and then only reply if I can think of something to say or to add or if it was just so profound that i felt moved to do so.

Is that bad etiquette or is it whatever?

That's what I do.
I hate when I post something and 45 people have seen it and only three reacted much less said something.

It makes it more personal and engaging when people respond and detached if they don't even acknowledge someone responding.
I think it depends on what someone wants to achieve. Some people will only respond to their friends or people they regularly interact with. Some people will engage with everyone. And some, with no one, lol.
I prefer to hang around where I feel warmth.

@SW-User well put.

I guess it does depend on the crowd and the post.

If I can't think of something substantial to say to something i guess i just prefer to not say anything 🤷🏽‍♂️. I wouldn't want to make people feel like I'm patronizing them.

Because thats how i feel, at least, when someone seems to be tossing words at me like a participation award.

@Eternity I wonder if people feel patronised by me because I respond to everyone. And it is quite possible they do. We all have a different way of perceiving something.

@SW-User well, if your responses are always as well thought out as yours to me have been, I doubt you make anyone feel patronized.

Usually I'll heart anything I look at cause they took time out to make it sorta thing but yeah I'm exactly the same it's rare I'll comment unless I can actually think of something to say off the top of my head.

I heart things or waffle on in response when I relate to what was posted. Otherwise I don't click on it.
