I have reached the summit and I better damn well enjoy the view while I can.

It occurred to me just this month that I am doing rather well--I like my job, my home life, I have enough money to do what I want, my health is good, my family and friends close by. If this is the summit of my life, I better damn well enjoy it while it lasts because nothing lasts very long--good times or bad times.

Every time I think "It can't get any better than this." Something happens where it can get better. More money, more time, more opportunity. I strive to be happy with what I have at the moment and the little ups and downs don't really matter.
