Why can't some people see fault in themselves? Or why are they unable to admit it?

I'm not disincluding myself... But some people seem to be terribly unaware

I think most people do that to protect themselves and the image they may carry of themselves. To be able to live with themselves.

My mother does this a lot actually, because she simply cannot tolerate the idea that her actions (or lack of) could be cause for her unhappiness and may have hurt others. It’s much much easier for her to project and point the finger outward: “well if they did this or that instead…. Or were this way or that way… then I wouldn’t have done this or that”

I have been guilty of this myself at times. Something I am trying very hard to be mindful of and squash

@WaryWitchWandering at times is different than someone who does it all the time. It takes a big person to admit that they were wrong.
