When we moved from one state to another, our home state lost my sons highschool records. He then had to make up credits from his sophomore and freshman years in order to graduate.
Not even an apology and no recognition of doing anything wrong. They felt it was neither their fault nor their problem.

@WhateverWorks The best part was that we paid 350.00 in book fines for books he supposedly never returned to get them to send transcripts that did not exist. should have rang a bell in my head when they told me he still hadn't paid his parking tickets from the previous year, as he did not drive or park anything at the school. I did wonder if it wasn't just retaliation by the counselor for me refusing to pay those, for a guy who didn't have a license or a car.
Record keeping there was great.

Gah it’s like a nightmare story that reminds all of us to keep an elaborate file on every freaking thing we do in the event something terrible like that happens, which is a preposterous way to have to live @nonsensiclesnail

@WhateverWorks Really, it is. Documenting everything you do just in case is unreasonable. It's replacing one hassle for another.
You're best bet in getting what you need done might be to contact the school district office about the issues and you're having. They may be more helpful.

Yeah, I’m going to give them a today since that’s what she told me, but after that I’ll contact the district. @nonsensiclesnail
