Do you ever feel that life is passing you by?

I am retired and have the means to enjoy life, but it feels like I am standing at the window watching life pass me by. Do you ever feel like this?

Many of my retired friends say the same thing after a couple years. Some were avid golfers who no longer even enjoy golfing after over doing it. I have one friend who is busier now after retirement than before. He's loving it. I have another who sold his business but stays to continue and sell to his past clients on behalf of the new owner.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're also dealing with your wife's health issues. I'm doing the same on an epic scale. I know from personal experience just how devastating that can be. You made all these plans and even though you have the means to deliver on them, it's just not happening.

I'm working. I own three businesses and sometimes I think I must be insane. But I can tell you life is definitely not passing me by. It's stopping at my place, taking a giant dump on my head and then moving on while flipping me off. And that's giving me the motivation to wake up, get out on the field and kick some ass.

You play the hand you're dealt. You just have to play them well. The best to you and your family.
