Do you ever feel that life is passing you by?

I am retired and have the means to enjoy life, but it feels like I am standing at the window watching life pass me by. Do you ever feel like this?

I am surprised to hear this since you travel all time in your motorhome.

@Stereoguy Yes, then that is what you are missing I think, very much. But then your wife was very ill and it does take time to recover. Have you ever thought about taking up a new hobby to fill in the gap for a while? It might be fun to learn how to play the guitar or play golf or take up gardening or even painting that would be fun.

@Stereoguy Hmmmm, that would be a problem. Then go to the next best thing. The next car you would choose and go for it. You would enjoy it so much and not many get that opportunity.

Life feels like it is passing by too quickly, because it is. The days go so fast now one can hardly keep up with them. So to make them seem longer, I sometimes go to bed early so I can rise early and then sometimes I stay up till 11:00 or 12:00 because I don't need much sleep anymore. It does make the day seem longer, but I know one thing. If we want purpose in our life, I think we have to give it purpose and make it count. I don't think we'll be here much longer anyway. I believe the Rapture will come soon and then we'll really have a good time. That is something super good to look forward to.

@Stereoguy ah, a very very interesting book indeed! That is exciting. We could read the Bible for a million years and still not learn all there is to learn from it. It is an abyss of wisdom and history and mysteries that are so fun to read and the great thing is, you can never ever figure it all out. I'm so happy the Lord left so much for us to wonder and dream about. It really gives us something to look forward to. And I love how the Bible says that no ear has heard nor eye hath seen, those things which we shall see in heaven.

@Stereoguy Me too. I never get tired of it. I can't even imagine what it will be like to see the Lord in person. It just blows your mind. I know he will be absolutely gorgeous and Majestic and I believe when he hugs us or even when he just stands before us, we will be enveloped and swallowed in nothing but pure love. It will overwhelm us. It shall permeate through us and we shall become love.

@Stereoguy Almost, yes, but I think that's because we've never experienced anything like that and the unknown feels very scary to us, so I thank God that He told us in His Word, exactly what would happen to us when we cross over, and how to get to heaven, or I think I would be absolutely terrified, not knowing where I was going to end up at, when I face eternity head on! Thank God, He didn't leave us to guess!! He even came and proved what He said, by His resurrection, where all could see Him ascend back to His father in Heaven. The people need to realize, now is the day of salvation. Now is the time to prepare for eternity because once we cross over, there's no changing our mind.
