Jobs need to understand that punishing current workers for the “worker shortage” isn’t going to do them any favors.

We have 5, soon to be 4 employees (transfer). Now we are being pushed to work 6 days a week and I’m having issues just getting one Sunday off I had requested.

I think I’ll start filling out more applications, they’re going to have 3 employees if I can’t get the day I requested off 😤 I’m allowed to have a life outside of work.

Yes, business don't want to interrupt their work flow, but don't give a care about their employees lives workflow.

Of course, some business do that on purpose, because either the market allows them to keep getting new employees, or because (especially in the USA when healthcare is involved) sometimes it's cheaper to force people on overtime than pay for additional healthcare packages.

Your employer is replaceable. So are you. It’s a constant cycle for some.
@DazzaTheHutt well my employer will soon be out of employees, so I guess we aren’t that replaceable lol
@666Maggotz Ofcourse. You think that when you leave the company will cease to exist.

Trust me, there are more peasants in the queue behind you.
@DazzaTheHutt I say this because there aren’t any replacements for the employees that already left. No one is trying to work here. We have no applicants. You can say there are more peasants, but you tell that to the shops that have to close completely or half days because no one wants to work for them. I can’t even get one Sunday off because no one will be there to fulfill my role and there are supposed to be several people in this position.
