Ugh! I need a keeper...

Just finished eating breakfast and noticed a "burnt" odor wafting through the house. Got up and went into the kitchen to find I'd left, for the 2nd time this year, my expensive saute pan (used for morning eggs) on the stove with the fire still going. Another expensive pan in the trash!

Yeah, I know, not interesting but I needed to vent!

Next time let Alexa remind you!

@SweetMae Never thought of that! Thank you!

@Ontheroad I do it all the time. Cast iron really stinks when you burn it. 😆
Ontheroad · M
@SweetMae It does for sure! I burnt my dutch oven the last time I made sourdough bread! Nice to know I'm not the only one who does this sort of thing 😎.

Ugh ...can relate

@Ontheroad me too ...I " multitask" badly 🙄

@SW-User Me too, and what is worse, I know I suck at multitasking... yet I still do it! I often talk to myself (in my head) saying "focus me boy, focus!" 😂

@Ontheroad I think it just becomes a habit over time

Sometimes i leave the burner on but not with a pan on it.

Oh, that's maddening! 😰
Ontheroad · M
@Fluffybull It is! And expensive too! Not crazy expensive ($55), but expensive enough not to keep burning them up.

sorry to hear that irritating as it is you did this again perhaps you need to not walk away from them . stand with them until they are ready to serve perhaps [ontheroad]

I once destroyed MIL's tea kettle by leaving it in high heat. It was partially melted.

Or you just need better awareness.
