One time in 8th grade I wrote an email to my crush for pretend. As in, I just wrote it all down in an email and I thought, lets do it. So I just typed their "firstname.lastname@aol.com" and clicked send.

And froze.

I thought the email would bounce back.

It never did.

The next day I was TERRIFIED, MORTIFIED, thinking I ruined my whole entire life and people would laugh as I went into the entrance of school. When I eventually saw the person, they said nothing. We never interacted anyway so we passed each other the same as always. I never heard anything of it, ever.

Being older now, I am sure it was just someone with their name in the email, and not my crushes actual email. after all, we were like 13-14. But my brain at the time did not see the difference.

and I was mortified.

Not sure who ever got my confession of love at 13, but I hope you enjoyed it.

@HellsBelle I could see how that would be embarrassing. Wondering if they got it or not

[c=004A59]I was 9 years old, and it was the first day of school. I was wearing these cute light-up velcro sketchers but the velcro straps are very sensitive so they stuck to anything very easily. Throughout homeroom, I never really paid attention to them and was taken to the side by my teacher informing me that I had something attached to it. It was my mother's panties. It was leopard print too. I felt so embarrassed, so she gave me a tiny ziplock bag to put it in and told me to just keep it in my bookbag until the end of school. She was doing laundry in the morning and I was rushing out of the house to catch the bus, didn't even feel it either but I did wonder why I felt like the ground was so slippery. 🤣😫[/c]

Reminds me of that Carrie movie...(they're all gonna laugh at you) scene. I'm sure it won't be that bad.

I know you are figuratively speaking but if it were possible to die of embarrassment and if Donald Trump had a conscience he would have died of embarrassment long ago.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Hopefully it will go better than you imagine.

The good news is that embarrassment has a 99.999999% survival rate 😉

Well, we will never know I guess if people have unalived themselves because of embarrassment
