The longer I live without a family or partner, the more I like it.

Sure I still get sad and lonely, and maybe it’s sad to need to accept that no one wants us. But it feels better in the waking hours these days because the more experience I have in contrary of love/family dynamics, the more experienced I am without. And the better I feel on my own. I’m open to deeper love, but I cannot put my hope into something that has left me broken over and over again.

@TheotherAndy tbh I think I kinda like it…

The other day a friend had stayed the night because she didn’t want to drive late. Waking up in the morning and having someone around besides my son and my dog felt, annoying. Someone else wanted food, attention and questioning me about my plans for the day when I don’t like to make them. It felt yucky. I’m sure the right person in my life would feel nice, but I can’t fathom someone here now. Just encroaching on our chill flow with their typical, normal, average, low energy. Nothing out there fits and I’m just pretty content to do my own thing and not be bothered by petty wants.
