A hot take before I go to bed

Not every belief deserves compromise or consideration.

Sometimes, believe it or not, you can just go f*ck yourself.

Mormons believe that black people after converting to Mormonism will turn white in the after life.
@Lostpoet Really?
Lostpoet · M
@thewindupbirdchronicles idk, kinda. I doubt most Mormons believe it, but it is doctern.
@Lostpoet Just curious.... where you are from again and I know you are agnostic now, what was your religion before?
Lostpoet · M
@thewindupbirdchronicles I'm from Utah and was raised LDS. I guess I'd be referred to as an ex-mormon or a jack-Mormon as it's sometimes referred to. I'm still LDS because I don't believe that anyone truly leaves their upbringing or culture. I believe Mormonism is a Christian religion and not a cult even though I no longer follow it.
@Lostpoet Thank you, I was curious. I did remember most. I think you are allowed criticism even if wrong :)

@thewindupbirdchronicles I think you have to view Mormons in the time it was created somewhere around 1830 and take a lot of it's more weird beliefs as being part of what people thought back then. Brigham Young one of the first prophets of the faith preached about moon people that were all over six feet tall. And if you read about it back then there were some people that thought there were people living on the moon. Mormons do believe that there an infinite amount of planets and those planets all have people living on them as God's.

@MalteseFalconPunch No I haven't but I will
and my understanding is very limited I hardly ever paid attention in church and skipped most of seminary school, so take everything I say about Mormonism through that filter.
