@DeluxedEdition I'd just been diagnosed with diabetes and I was working ridiculous hours in a job I hated. I guess I was feeling a bit sorry for myself. There were so many people on EP who had much more serious problems though, I realised mine weren't really much to worry about.

@SW-User yes, I also made that same discovery when I joined. (That’s why I asked) It really changed my perspective on my own life.
Especially when you read stories about people from poor countries and you read their struggles. My struggles didn’t seem to have as much weight

@DeluxedEdition We shouldn't ignore them, but I think it helps to put them in some sort of perspective. Helps me anyway.
