@WandererTony No. You can be online without the green dot. You have the option in settings to turn it off.

@KiwiBird ok, thats for voluntarily hiding your online status.
But the profiles appearing in the top bar are not those who have hidden status, but those who were recently online. Am I right?

@WandererTony Yes it appears those in the top bar are both green dot and voluntary hidden. They appear to move to the right when not on line and over the passage of time. I have a friend on here who has her green light always turned off and have seen her at the extreme left, indicating hidden and online. Basically the hidden status is now virtually meaningless.

@KiwiBird thats a big blunder! The users privacy is breached. And not just that, the users intent to stay hidden is also disclosed!! Thats a double whammy!!

@WandererTony yes it means that they were online recently. But some of them never have a green dot
