Trying to start over

How do you start over with life? I’ve made new social media accounts, and am starting at essentially zero friends, family, and dollars.

Where should I start?…

I hope you read this because I think this is the most important thing young people can know -

No, not "go to college" and all that BS. What I think is keep your options open.

Try not to get into anything that you cannot easily get out of. Avoid things that can mess up your life for years to come. Examples include, do not enlist in the military, stay out of legal troubles, wait before marrying or having kids, stay off the drugs, booze, and even nicotine (avoid chemical addictions) do not go into debt needlessly.

Do not be sad over the things you want but do not have, be thankful for things you do NOT want and do not have.

Maybe you do not know where to go in life right now but if there are none of the aforementioned burdens, the road is yours to go where you like.

@OneDayMore I remember when I was 21 I was telling my mom a list of reasons why I was so worldly and wise. She started cracking up laughing.

@CestManan I remember when I was 21 and I told my mum my girlfriend was pregnant as I left the room like “oh by the way (blank) is pregnant, ok byeeee” and just walked away as she started crying.

I don't know if you're working or at college, but if not you'll need some definite routine every day, something to get up for, to make you feel good, meet people? Voluntary work? Community/church work? Just a few suggestions. Good luck 👍

Hey look at your past and see where you went wrong and try to avoid the pits falls from before. One thing i have learned is that social media is a huge problem for most and just try to limit how much interaction you go with there. Get a job (if you dont have one) and just focus on yourself and getting your mind/groove going. All else will take care of itself. :-)

Try working on yourself. When you feel comfortable with who you are, just be that person and the rest will follow.

@black4white has some excellent input.
That job thing is really important.
Without it, every other problem becomes amplified.

Good luck!
