my day today...
woke up, slept back in.
woke back up, the swimming pool was empty. got a few laps in. caught up on some TV. made some notes in my book. boring shit.
went to visit my grandmother. she's back home. I get there and my mother and my aunt (my mom's baby sister) were there. "there's my sweet son!," my mom said; "there's my favorite nephew!," my aunt said. "there's my baby!," my grandmother said. they all were smiling and it made me smile. I hugged my grandmother as tight as I could. I Zoomed called my daughter so she could see them all. and they all picked pn me. whatever. haha.
we all just sat and talked. about whatever came to mind. then I started cooking spagehtti for everyone, mostly for my grandmother to have something to eat for a few days. big mistake. now I've been donned as my grandmother's personal chef. as many times as I've cooked for family dinners, you all are just now noticing I can cook? haha. I ain't tripping, I'm honored.
my presence made them feel like I was my grandfather back alive (my grandmother's husband; my mother and my aunt's father), and they felt so blessed. I did, too. yeah, my day was "boring", but it felt so good. just wished my daughter could have been there. in due time, right?
