When was the last time someone said they had your back and actually meant it?

Do you find more people are honest or dishonest when saying that to you?

It used to happen all the time when I was working. Usually only when needed. For that particular circumstance they had my back....or I had theirs. I meant it every single time, I would protect them to the best of my ability no matter what hell we were walking into. They meant it to. It was never meant to be a lifelong commitment, just a tactical statement of fact as we faced a particular problem. Rarely has it been necessary to have someone cover my back since those days. I don't use that term lightly nor figuratively.

@bowman81 You were fortunate then. No one should use that term lightly or without meaning. But they do.
