Life and death and guns

I see there is another gun massacre in the USA.
Big hugs to the victims and their families.
Please, USA, ban the gun. Your gun culture is costing far too many innocent lives.

This guy bought his AR15, 2 hours before killing the doctor that did a back surgery on him. Killed the doctor and a few others. I wonder if he would have trusted the Doctor had the Doctor not been Black,?
@Pitchblue how did he buy these guns and walk out with them? Was there ANY kind of background check? The same applies to the shooter in Texas.
@soar2newhighs Pawn shop for this guy. The Texas shooter was 18 and he was able to finance 2 AR15s with a min wage job. He also bought 15 to 1600 rounds, no questions asked. Gun dealer could give a flying fuck what an 18 year old was going to do with 1600 rounds.
@Pitchblue It’s just my opinion, but this is a failure on both state governments and our Federal government.
These bastards “ regulate” a plethora of things affecting us; no reason they can’t regulate say pawn shops so the buying/ re-selling of fire arms is not permitted.
IMO too many including politicians are benefitting snd as you say don’t give a flying fuck.

@soar2newhighs Yeah you get a background check for a commercial purchase from a dealer. Which this person bought from. He just didn't have anything on his Federal and State records that would have barred him
@MethDozer So, if that’s true, how long does this background check take?
Both state and Federal came back within hours?
Well thanks for your input.

@soar2newhighs It depends on how many requests are going through at the time and how well the data speeds are at that moment. It can take anywhere for a few minutes to a few hours. It just checks agaisnt a national data base of criminal records and reports. It severaly lacks in mental health records though.
The issue isn't how long it takes for the background checks to occure, but more about how mental health reports are missing from it. Like if I am diagnosed as a schizophrenic our privacy laws keep that from being reported to that database.
@MethDozer That’s the feds for you-HIPPA. Well intentioned, not necessarily a good thing.
How many agents to be hired now for the IRS? Thousands more. Uncle is going to get his share of the money he feels he’s been cheated out of. . If our political leaders / parties want to do something about gun violence the thousands put on the IRS to assure the government doesn’t get cheated might hire/use that number of people for background checks. That’s if they’re serious about people getting / not getting guns,

@soar2newhighs What? The IRS? What does the IRS have anything to do with anything?
@MethDozer You know this administration plans to hire thousands of IRS agents. My point is if they can hire for the IRS they can hire for I guess the DOJ under the FBI /ATF or other federal law enforcement agencies , thousands of people and train them on background checking.
MethDozer · M
@soar2newhighs the issue isn't about how many agents are involved on background checking. Again, it's a database check. It's a background check, it isn't a detective investigation by agents knocking on doors building a xharacter profile.

@Pitchblue problem for you about the Uvalde Texas shooter is why did he buy those AR-15's. He bought two of the most expensive AR-15's that you can buy and NO ONE is questioning why he did that when at the same Gun Store, he could have bought that same caliber AR-15 for under $450.

Here's what I think:
Somebody found this kid, put him into a mindset that people where trying to put him in his place, told him to buy those AR-15s and not the cheaper ones, and then turned him loose.

@soar2newhighs pawn shops are regulated.
All Pawn Shops who accept firearms for cash tendered must have a Type 2 Federal Firearms License as well as each employee must have either a Type 1, 2, or 3 FFL.

@MethDozer I may be wrong here (I hope that I am), the IRS is one of the very few Federal Agencies that don't need a warrant to search your possessions.
