Life and death and guns

I see there is another gun massacre in the USA.
Big hugs to the victims and their families.
Please, USA, ban the gun. Your gun culture is costing far too many innocent lives.

The problem isn't the tool used to cause death it is the acceptance of the culture of death. "You are in my way so I will kill you" is common. It is part of demonic left's ideals. Don't want to be pregnant? Kill the baby. Don't agree with your gan rival? Kill him. In a weird combination modern society has become death denying (delay of adulthood) and death embracing. Having grown up in the 60s and 70s in a place where everyone had a rifle or shotgun as a tool there were no firearms related murders. In fact murder was extremely rare. What changed? Well in the 70s abortion became not only accepted but encouraged. As the Pope of the day warned accepting abortion is part of the culture of death. The steady increase in murder by gun or club or knife or fists is attributable to that culture. In that culture the other person is disposable not one to be cherished.

@hippyjoe1955 Interesting, if flawed logic as gun deaths seem to be worse in right wing states. Although the culture of death is common across all states, I think. It is not limited to left or right wing.

@HarrietteSpeedy Where do you get your news from? So right wing South Dakota has a higher gun crime rate than Illinois? How many gun crimes were committed in SD last weekend then compare that to Chicago.

@hippyjoe1955 FBI Statistics over a prolonged period of time. My argument is not about internal US politics; it's about the gun culture across the spectrum.

@HarrietteSpeedy Gun culture? What exactly is a gun culture? My point that we have come to view humans as disposable stands. The tool used is not the problem. The Nazis killed millions with gas. Stalin killed millions with starvation. Guns are not the problem. The lack of respect for human life is the problem. You have a right to life. I have a right to life. No one shall infringe on that basic right.

@hippyjoe1955 A gun culture is what gives the US such a hellish murder and suicide rate. If you want to try and save the basic right to life, remove one of the tools that end so many. Join the civilised world. I am sure the USA is mature enough now!
@HarrietteSpeedy I think @hippyjoe1955 should look around him at his fellow Canadians and their much wiser gun laws.

@ElwoodBlues Come to Canada and get an awakening. Nice of you to keep playing the stupid one on all these threads.
@hippyjoe1955 Come to the US and get an awakening. Look at the stats and get an awakening.

Canadian murder rate: 2.05; US: 5 per 100K population.
The US has more than DOUBLE Canada's murder rate.

It's the guns dude. Nice of you to keep playing the stupid one though!!

@ElwoodBlues I go to the US on a regular basis. It is a bit of a culture shock to be brought back to the time of my youth when everyone had a gun. No big deal. Sadly there are too many insane people that are determined to kill. No one needs a gun to commit mass murder. Ask ISIS, or McVeigh or the FBI who firebombed the Waco WackO killing all the children in the compound. Evil is evil. A gun doesn't change it one way or the other. The intent to kill results in the killing not the method chosen to kill. Canada banned handguns in `1937. Guess what causes the most firearm injuries and deaths in Canada - HANDGUNS! Amazing. So if the bad guys don't follow the law.....
@hippyjoe1955 The catholic church…talking about a culture of death? That’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a while.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@LilithoftheTrees I think I mentioned a long dead pope. I am not a catholic. That particular pope had a head on his shoulders unlike the present one who is VERY pro death.
@hippyjoe1955
Canadian murder rate: 2.05 per 100K population
United States murder rate: 5 per 100K population.
The US has more than DOUBLE Canada's murder rate.
And GUNS account for ALL the difference.

Stop playing stupid. It's the guns dude.
@hippyjoe1955 pro death now? As Opposed to the peaceful history of religions. That’s funny.
