Straylight’s motivational: Go to school to study something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.

Because no one is hiring in that field.

no problems here landing a job at the philosophy factory.

People say "never work a day in your life" like it's a good thing.
SW-User
@SW-User I don't think that's true. "I'm working on art." "I'm working on my hobby." etc.
SW-User
@SW-User maybe but in my mind when you say working, especially when we mention days like it’s time based, that sounds like employment
SW-User
@SW-User A lot of people want to do that kind of work too though, like especially people who don't have hobbies. People don't want to be bored. I think a huge part of why being a drug addict sucks is because you get satisfaction without having to do any work. It seems like a nice thing but it really isn't.

Our favorite waiter has a masters degree in golf course management, his boss even owns 5 championship courses and won't hire him to work at a course
Straylight · 31-35, F
@MarineBob Wow, that sucks.

@Straylight guessing the university forgot to tell him courses hire based on age, experience and level of play
Straylight · 31-35, F
@MarineBob Probably should have mentioned that before they cashed his checks.

Respect to you.

Exactly, there are a ton of interesting majors at schools, but with degrees that don’t go anywhere. Like drama, philosophy, music, medieval studies, and the list continues. Those just come to mind
