Having short gut syndrome, having only 2ft of my small intestines left because of a bowel obstruction.

Dealing with the sudden loss of my marriage, death of my wife, loss of my career job, my home, my possessions, most of my money and all of my friends... all at once only to be told by most people... buy yourself a puppy.

Edit: Your situation would have been really bad btw
SW-User
@OogieBoogie Aw that's so sad but it's also good you got to say goodbye 🤗
@SW-User yep, it was.
@SW-User Yes. Buy a puppy! I get you.

In my deepest depression some would say,"Hey cheer up, the sun is shining".

What sun?

It is usually death.

Being homeless kinda. I’ve been staying at hotel and living in my truck since October. I have no address. Can’t get an apartment because they want 3 1/2 times the rent.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@Jeffrey53 [c=800000]My goodness! [/c]

@Jeffrey53 I can relate to the rent issue. It took me ages to find an affordable place. Hope you get there!

My mum dying. I was 15. Devastated me. Still affects me, to be honest.

PS MENSA member. Very impressive.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@AmberDuponte [c=800000]I am sorry for your loss. [/c]
Being faced, leaving school, with chronic shyness, lack of self-confidence, lack of friends.

Now things of the past.

My life has been blessed with unexpected gifts. Much simply changed while I was looking the other way. All totally unearned, everything given.

It is why my only prayer is "thank you".
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@Tariki [c=800000]I am glad things turned around for you! 👨‍💼[/c]
@ProfessorPlum77 Thank you
Got 2:
Teaching a severely autistic person, and dealing with domestic violence.

Both broke my heart.

ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@SW-User [c=800000]Thank you. It took me SEVERAL years to completely get over it. [/c]
Pregnancy and then a traumatic birth. Leaving my baby in NICU and not taking her home for 4 weeks.
@ProfessorPlum77 It was. Compared to some, itnwas no time at all. Felt like forever at the time.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@V00doo [c=800000]Wishing you better days!!!

🙆‍♂️[/c]
@ProfessorPlum77 We're all good now
empanadas · 31-35, M
Man, that would tear me up. Hope you doing good.

For me, it was getting away from the lifestyle my family members kept trying to push me to. They wanted me be to a street thug, basically nothing. I got beat up alot as a kid from my cousins because I was "too soft." Blessed to have never been in jail and I'm very far away from the life they wanted me to have.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@empanadas [c=800000]Tt takes courage to overcome an abusive past, like you have. Kudos to you! [/c]
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@empanadas [c=800000]Yes, I am doing well. It was several years ago. Decades, actually. [/c]
SW-User
Damn. That must have been difficult.

Mine has been addiction. I've had several drug problems, alcohol being one of the worst.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@SW-User [c=800000]It takes strength and courage to overcome something like that. [/c]
SW-User
@ProfessorPlum77 Struggles can make or break us. Sometimes I thank God that I've had to face such things.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@SW-User [c=800000]You are an overcomer, in that regard. [/c]
