I'm a big overthinker, and I dislike that.

It does me more harm than good. How do I stop overthinking? Usually, I waste time thinking about very trivial things that are most likely never going to happen.

It’s helpful to fine-tune it into ways that are more practical and useful. I’m over analytical also, but I’ve learned to reel it in once I start to go down a rabbit hole that serves no purpose. It’s OK to be aware of possible negative outcomes and to make decisions in your life to preemptively address those, but if you’re not able to address it then there’s no function in dwelling on it.

It’s also important to let your mind look at things from different angles without becoming hyper focused on the negative possibilities. Realistic positive outcomes and realistic neutral outcomes are equally valid.
