I increasingly find this to be true in many relationships that I am aware of. One partners dims their shine to make the other half more comfortable. Pretty horrible really.

I used to...til I realized how disrespectful that is to both my maker and me. I wasn't made to be meek or shy regardless of what my "partner" may feel.
