I haven't dealt with sleep paralysis in years, but it's starting again. It happens every night, even if I take a nap on the couch. It's terrifying. I'll have to mention it to my doctor this week.
I get a version of this where my jaw decides to do its best impression of the creature from Alien clenching its teeth for all it's worth. And I am powerless to do a damn thing about it. Something to do with a particular immobilising chemical/hormone produced when falling asleep IIRC.
Haven't experienced this in maybe a year or so. Best of luck to you with your own situation.
@SW-User I have migraines occasionally. I also have an issue with grinding teeth, but mostly when I'm awake. I've broken teeth before. I also tear off skin. I think it's all linked to anxiety.
