If you had a chance to take your anger out on an animal abuser, child rapist, or murderer would you? I don't want to sound evil but if I had the

evidence proving they did these crimes I'd gladly bashed their head to a pulp. I mean they're evil heartless people that don't care so how are they being productive or compassionate?

No, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want them punished. I’m not really a violent person. I would fight to defend my life or that of someone else in the moment. But I know I wouldn’t have the stomach to torture someone, even one who deserved it. I’d prefer to see them locked away forever.
