Is this site an escape from reality for everyone? Do you have a good social life?

Great family life, but the social life has nearly disappeared with the pandemic.

I have friends, but no close friends and I like it that way, but a part of me wants to rejoin humanity, so I come here to give that part of me its fix. It's like how when I get bored of civilization I hike for 6 hours in a day, and that does the trick. Then I come crawling home on hands and knees declaring to never leave the house again.

No, I don't have a good social life.

Not an escape but a diversion from my everyday life, which can be pretty tedious at times. There are people I socialize with irl, primarily members of my extended family.

No. It’s part of my reality. It’s a real place for my real thoughts with real people. There is no true escape in life.

My social life is minimal. My mind races with lots of things and my family and friends can't take too much of it

For me, sometimes it’s a means of facing reality.

This site IS an escape from reality (for me). I've never had a satisfying social life. I never learned how to do that. And, with society being the way it is these days, it's not likely I'll learn.

Isolation is my sanctuary. Although, I would prefer a pleasing social life.
