May i ask how everyone is coping with the pandemic and its life changing?

I remember when it all started, I honestly thought it will be over now. I am in city/ country that we've had lockdowns more than anyone else. We are in 210 days lockdown , no school, no parties nothing. When all started I literally just moved out of home for the first time. I had high hopes of adult independence and now just prisoned in my apartment lol..We can't go further than 5km from home. Thank God vaccine for my age group has came out now. I am going to get vaccinated because it seem without it won't be able to do anything.

I miss concerts. Other than that, and the three montgs tgst the government payed me to do nothing. It hasn't really affected me

@Notanymore During lockdowns, I wonder if really sucky bands like Foghat can still tour? I mean the attendance would be small enough to allow social distancing.

@HoeBag does foghat still exist?

@Notanymore I miss festivals and just going out and seeing people in general. People wearing masks freaks me out

@MissElla yeah. I have tickets for a festival in just two weeks. And i may or may not get to go. It'll be my first concert in two years.

@Notanymore Do you know Will Sparks? I've had a ticket to see him since February. He postponed to April but was in lockdown, postponed to June, still lockdown, postponed to August we are still in lockdown, he just postponed again to mid October. I haven't been to anything since Ultra music festival in Feb 2020 just before the covid. We've been in and out lockdown ever since. We are lucky to have had 3 weeks without lockdown and even then I try to stay safe and stay home

@MissElla not sure who that is....
HoeBag · 51-55, F
@Notanymore Not sure if they do. I am NO fan of theirs.

@HoeBag i can tell.....i think their better music was hidden deep in their albums. Not so much the stuff on the radio.

@Notanymore That is some of his songs of course you have to be into this type of music..I love dance music personally
HoeBag · 51-55, F
@Notanymore I guess sometimes that happens.

Like this - you know that horrid Berlin song called "Take my breath away"?
That was the only song that made it to the radio from their album "count three and pray". Most of the other songs on that release were upbeat and fast. My favorite was "Like flames".

But, the radio chose THAT song for whatever reason.

@HoeBag blind mellon had one hit song in the 90s. It wasnthe least intelligible on a great blues album.
HoeBag · 51-55, F
@Notanymore I remember that song.
I might have to check out the other songs on there.

I wonder though with one hit wonders if the record label intentionally releases the worst song on an album? If so, why?
All speculation I suppose.

@HoeBag usually it's earworm songs. Think of warrant. Cherry pie is godawful, but they were pretty much forced to record it for their album. Their other music is decent. Beck became famous for a goofy ass half rap song that he recorded before he ever had a major deal. They're just catchy and easy to bomb the radio with.
