Was it wrong of me?

A week ago, my brothers fiancee began reading 'The Exorcist' She said it was the most evil book she ever read. So evil she couldn't finish it, took it over to the beach and threw it into the ocean. I went and bought another copy, ran the faucet over it and left in in the night table drawer by her bed... She hasn't spoken to me since.

Naughty trick but I'd expect reprisals if I were you! 馃槅

It's an odd thing to do. You know best what your intentions were. 馃槸 Generally speaking, I don't mind people being pranksters, especially if it's all in good fun, but pranks can go too far sometimes.

Isn鈥檛 that book and movie super old? I鈥檓 like confused about where she鈥檚 from/what鈥檚 going on with her that she had that reaction to the book in the first place

@inflatablebimbo She a school teacher and it's supposed to be required reading for her class and she hadn't read it yet.

Whatever happened to 'The Power of One' and 'All Quiet on the Western Front'?

Why did you do that? As a joke? 馃

@SW-User If she's seriously upset then I agree he should apologize!

As far as scared and sensitive, I haven't read that in his story, or have missed that in my reading, I was thinking she could of just been extremely annoyed with the book about evil things. So that might be why I have a different outlook on this.

@Viper if she threw it to the ocean clearly she hated it and he doesn't care about her feelings.
ViperM
@SW-User I know some people that have low standards for throwing stuff away.

But considering she's a teacher, your probably right!

LOL!

It had not occurred to her it was pure fantasy written for no more than rather grim entertainment?
ViperM
Nope lol, that sounds quite funny 馃槀
