this is true. I knew someone who was dealing with a drug addict son and had to get a protective order against him. She told him she never wanted to him to come back to her home to live (he had caused fights at the home & she was elderly). He left and didn’t come back and a few months later killed himself. She was ate up with grief about her last words but the man was creating chaos for everyone in the family and she was raising her grandchildren.

@cherokeepatti sad story , seems like he had more issues
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@FurryFace He had a drinking and drug problem. Got hit in the head with a boom while working drilling oil wells…that takes about 15-20 year for the mental issues to come full-blown after a hard hit to the head. I think he would have died one way or another anyway. He was always getting into trouble drunk driving or public drunk or whatever anyway. She was in her 70’s and couldn’t deal with him and her granddaughter who was also on meth. Put them both out at the same time. You can’t help anyone else if you don’t make yourself a priority.

@cherokeepatti How sad! 😞😞
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Fertilization She had to tell the granddaughter that she also had a protective order against to leave 10 months when she came back for a visit after rehab. The granddaughter thought she’d move back in and be back to her old mooching self again, 3 days of her sitting around there was enough and she told her to get up and go find a job in the next city. The grandmother died 5 months later.

@cherokeepatti it’s painful.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Fertilization yes it is, she was trying to help everyone that needed it at her own expense. She was in her 70’s and still working a job when she should have been retired and resting.

@cherokeepatti I pray she rests in peace.
