I do not like when able-bodied people get things that I have to work for, for free

I try to be grateful for what I have, food, water, shelter.

I try to be grateful that I have remained employed throughout the pandemic.

But I can't help but think: I'd probably have more if I didn't work.

I.e free food- extra snap/food stamp benefits ( I do not & have not ever in life received them).

Free money ( child credit- $200-300 [u]per child per month[/u]) just for having a child.

Unemployment and housing help.

Pretty sure these folks incomes is greater than mine, yet they don't even have to lift a finger.

Apparently I'm doing something wrong🤷‍♀️

Some people need temporary help due to life crisis events but others are chronically playing the system to the hilt. I don’t mind people who need the temporary help getting it. It is frustrating to work hard all your life and be taxed to pay for those who are playing the system.
