I do not like when able-bodied people get things that I have to work for, for free

I try to be grateful for what I have, food, water, shelter.

I try to be grateful that I have remained employed throughout the pandemic.

But I can't help but think: I'd probably have more if I didn't work.

I.e free food- extra snap/food stamp benefits ( I do not & have not ever in life received them).

Free money ( child credit- $200-300 per child per month) just for having a child.

Unemployment and housing help.

Pretty sure these folks incomes is greater than mine, yet they don't even have to lift a finger.

Apparently I'm doing something wrong🤷‍♀️

It definitely breeds resentment when you have to work 5 hours a month to pay a cell phone bill that others get for free.

@AthrillatheHunt do you get a free phone?

I only pay $45 a month so definitely not working 5 hours for it, but I get the point.

@iamnikki I get nothing for free. That’s the reward for making good choices.

@AthrillatheHunt good choices are a big part of it at least for me anyway. The big part being I wish I had made more of them.

@AthrillatheHunt that's how I feel. Like what did I do "wrong"?
