I do not like when able-bodied people get things that I have to work for, for free

I try to be grateful for what I have, food, water, shelter.

I try to be grateful that I have remained employed throughout the pandemic.

But I can't help but think: I'd probably have more if I didn't work.

I.e free food- extra snap/food stamp benefits ( I do not & have not ever in life received them).

Free money ( child credit- $200-300 per child per month) just for having a child.

Unemployment and housing help.

Pretty sure these folks incomes is greater than mine, yet they don't even have to lift a finger.

Apparently I'm doing something wrong🤷‍♀️

You were very fortunate to work through the pandemic. Many people were not able to because their businesses were forced to close due to public health orders. Some people can’t work because they are immune compromised. Honestly you sound bitter because you couldn’t collect benefits and had to work.

That being said, poverty is a terrible cycle to get out of in regards to people who collect government aid. You wouldn’t want that life.

Did you want praise because you work? Most people do. Good for you.

@iamonfire696 I've already stated that this was geared towards able- bodied people. And no, I don't want praise, just stating my facts.

@iamnikki able bodied people that are on social assistance, lots are struggling and would like to get out of it. It’s a cycle though.

@iamonfire696 right, if you're able-bodied, you shouldn't be on assistance. If you can work, then work. Work two jobs until you have 1 job which covers all your needs. Some do want to get out of poverty, some don't. Some receive lifetime handouts because they don't want to lift a finger. But I've said all I can. I'm done here. Have a good day
